Attention Child Care Providers Accepting Care4Kids!
Did you know that even if you don’t owe any taxes this year, you could still qualify for an income tax refund?
It’s true, thanks to the Earned Income Tax Credit, also known as the EITC. EITC helps you keep more of what you earned if your income is low to moderately low. To qualify, you must meet certain requirements and file a tax return, even if you do not owe any tax or are not required to file. The EITC was designed in part to offset the burden of social security taxes and to provide an incentive to work. When EITC exceeds the amount of taxes owed, it results in a tax refund!
This is just one of the tips you will learn more about at the CSEA Tax Forum, February 23rd, at Gateway Community College in New Haven, featuring national child care financial expert Tom Copeland.
