Social Security Letter About Medicare Part D

Attention All Retirees,

In the near future, you will be receiving (if you have not already received) a letter from Social Security telling you that you have been dis-enrolled from Medicare Part D, or that they will no longer deduct your prescription drug coverage income-related monthly adjustment amount from your monthly benefits.  Do not panic – because you will be receiving another letter soon afterward letting you know that you have been re-enrolled in Part D under United Healthcare.  This is all a part of the switch for Medicare-age retirees to the Medicare Advantage Plan and is a part of the mandated administrative process.  You will not lose your coverage or your reimbursement.  You can disregard the letters, but don’t discard them, just keep them on file.
