This month, CSEA made some changes to our staff and while we are sad to say goodbye to Adrean Rodriguez, our Bus Council Organizer, Ryan Dicapua has already been learning the ropes under Adrean to be prepared to take over. We are also thrilled to welcome Michael Davis, our new Staff Representative in the
Muni/Board of Education sector. All three men are highly qualified, dedicated organizers and staff representatives with immense experience in the labor movement, CSEA is lucky to have them focused on empowering our members to fight for a better future for working families across our state.
Adrean will be moving out to San Diego where he will be working with a local in the area - while we are disappointed to be saying goodbye to him, we are glad he’ll be continuing his work in the labor movement. Before leaving though, Adrean has been busy training Ryan for a seamless transition for our Bus Council members. Ryan has a deep understanding of the fights our members have ahead of them and is looking forward to jumping into the trenches with them to demand more respect and a voice in the conversations that surround their work. He’s just as ready as the members to take on their bosses and demand better.
Finally, Michael is joining us from sister local, SEIU 1199 New England where he previously worked as an organizer. He is excited to grow his skill set while simultaneously helping to grow and empower our chapters. Coming from a family in union shops, Michael at a young age was introduced to the power of unions and understood that they serve as the most effective way to improve people’s lives.
Congratulations to Adrean, Ryan and Michael!
